The Nobel Peace Prize-nominated Canadian Inuit woman Sheila Watt-Cloutier will be appearing before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, presenting a petition signed by Inuit hunters, elders and women from Alaska and Canada. She will argue that climate change is devastating an ancient way of life and infringing on human rights.Watt-Cloutier was one of the first to link climate change and the erosion of human rights at a 2003 United Nations conference.
